Welcome to the PGSS Learning Support Centre! (LSC)

Junior Classes (Grades 8-9)

LSC Humanities 8 & 9 is a supported class where students learn the BC curricular competencies for both English 8 & 9 as well as Social Studies 8 & 9. It is run as a year-long course over the individual student’s grade 8 & 9 years. Within this class, students will participate in direct reading instruction using the UFLI Foundations resource and REWARDS Intermediate as well as direct writing instruction using the Releasing Writers by thinkSRSD (Self-Regulated Strategy Development) program.

Senior Classes (Grades 10-12

The Learning Support Centre also offers classes for students in grades 10, 11 & 12. Students may be enrolled in one, two, or all three LSC classes in their Senior Years to complete BC Graduation requirements.

Courses offered in LSC 10-12 are:

LSC English First Peoples 10 and English First Peoples 12

LSC Social Studies 10 & BC First Peoples Studies 12

LSC Workplace Math 10 & Apprenticeship Math 12
